Stylistically inspired by early 20th-century Cubist and Constructivist painters, such as Georges Braque and Fernand Léger, French-born artist Sebastien Dunn’s paintings depict a unique world of semi-abstract and often disassembled subjects, on occasion spilling over into entirely abstract visions.
His works draw on city- and dreamscapes, archaeological and tribal symbolism, mystical iconography, yogic practice and Jungian philosophy, offering intimate perspectives on the human condition and the social, cultural and religious memes that shape our interactions with others and the world around us.
